ADR Driver Training Courses cover the regulations and the safety procedures relating to the carriage of dangerous goods by road.
This includes in packages, IBCs, Bulk and Tanks. A Hazardous Chemical (ADR) Training Certificate is therefore required by any driver operating a vehicle used for transporting dangerous goods by road throughout Ireland and the EU.
Drivers transporting dangerous goods in packages, drums or IBCs in vans, curtain siders lorries, box vans or freight containers are required to attend a 3-day initial basic (packages) course and pass the CILT initial basic exam.

Drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods must hold an ADR Driver Training Certificate. The 3-day Initial Basic Course prepares participants for the assessment test for transporting dangerous goods in packages, drums and IBCs. Those requiring an ADR certificate for Road Tankers must attend a further 2-day Initial Tanker Specialisation Course.
The ADR Driver Training Certificate is valid for 5 years. A driver must refresh his/her ADR Driving Training Certificate before it expires by attending a Refresher Training Course and sitting another assessment test. Our courses are approved by Health & Safety Authority and examined by the Charted Institute of Logistics and Transport
